Great NightMare !!!

Today noon as I was working on my laptop, I tried to copy one folder to the other….

And the result:

“The file or directory is corrupted or unreadable”

I was really shocked. After that I tried to modify many files but was not successful to do that also. The whole chunk of important data was in the same drive which was showing corrupted. Then after lot of google search, I came to “Solution” that made my day ( infact whole life 😉 ).

The Solution is as follows :-

Click on Start –> Run –> Type cmd and press Enter. 

 
chkdsk /f g:         Press Enter.     //If you are having problem with G drive

 
chkdsk /f x:         Press Enter.     //If you are having problem with X drive

Done!!!!!
