A palimpsest of hours
Medieval scribes, short on vellum, would scrape old manuscripts clean and write atop them. The earlier text never fully disappeared — under raking light or ultraviolet, the lower writing rises back through. That stubborn underlayer is what makes a palimpsest.
This blog is an attempt at the same thing, more gently: a place to write, rewrite, and leave the earlier drafts faintly legible. Not every thought deserves permanence. But the act of scraping something away and putting something new in its place — that’s worth keeping a record of.
More soon.
